The Public Bar is the heart of the Stanley Hotel, the place for a drink, a chat with locals, or to catch a game on the big screen. Settle in with a round of pool, enjoy live music, cosy up by the fire, or grab a board game for a relaxed night with friends. The bar menu serves up plenty of snacks, and every Friday night locals and visitors gather for the much-loved “chook raffle.”
Step inside and you’ll find a crackling wood fire through winter and walls lined with black-and-white photos of Stanley dating back to the 1830s. Enjoy a good coffee or explore a fantastic range of Tasmanian wines, spirits, cocktails, and beers, including brews from the Breheny Bros. whose family heritage ties back to the Stanley Hotel in the late 1860s.
